NZTC International Word of the Week: przeczyszczający

A year ago we challenged you with the Polish word przytrzymywać. Here’s another particularly daunting word to wrap your tongue around: przeczyszczający. This word is an adjective meaning “purgative” or “laxative”.


There are 40 million speakers of Polish internationally, and it is the second most widely spoken Slavic language after Russian. Remarkably, it is now the main language spoken in England after English, according to the 2011 UK census.
