Natasha Simeonidis

Art Director

Natasha is a second-generation New Zealander whose family originally came from Greece. She joined NZTC in 2004 after several years’ experience working freelance and as an in-house designer. In 2006, Natasha was appointed head of NZTC’s Art Department, where she is responsible for overseeing all design and layout work. In their work, Natasha and her team use the latest DTP and Translation Memory applications in both Macintosh and Windows environments.

Talking about her role, Natasha says, ‘NZTC is a dynamic place to work… no two days are alike! Each language obviously has its own unique formatting rules, and we are often required to typeset within documents that were originally designed for English text. We always find ways of dealing with these challenges though, and this certainly keeps our work varied and very interesting.’

Not least because of her excellent leadership skills, commitment and professionalism, Natasha has become a valued member of NZTC’s senior management team.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Design, majoring in Visual Communication and Graphic Design
