David Coppack

Translator and Editor for German

Born and raised in England, David spent the first years of his professional life in the United Kingdom, where he worked for SDL International, the world’s leading producer of translation software, and in Germany, where he worked for well-known corporate software giant SAP.
In March 2009, David joined NZTC’s team of linguists in Wellington. Owing to his excellent German language skills and his academic and professional background, David’s work at NZTC largely centres on translating technical German texts into English and on editing the translations produced by NZTC’s German native speakers.
Apart from his translation and editing duties, David also assists with in-house SDL Trados-related issues and attends and speaks at translation conferences in New Zealand and Australia.
About his work at NZTC, David says, ‘I love the Kiwi office culture and the diverse opportunities offered by the company to branch out into other technical and linguistic areas.’

Qualifications
