Our project managers hold daily scheduling meetings to ensure that all work is on track and potential bottlenecks are resolved ahead of time. Our experience in communication at a distance, our good production systems and our multilingual project managment team all work together to ensure that all contact with clients to resolve project-related problems is done in a timely and efficient way.

Trish Saolele
Multilingual Project Manager

Trish has a BCA in both Marketing and Commercial Law, and a BA in Modern Languages. In her language degree, she studied German, Japanese and Samoan, and as a student she found herself in Stuttgart, Germany, on a scholarship.

Trish feels that it is her cultural background, teamed with determination and persistence, that make her role in managing client accounts and co-ordinating translation projects into languages of the Asia-Pacific region a success. She is a New Zealand-born Samoan with a great enthusiasm for sports - soccer, touch rugby and softball.

Emma Gregory
Multilingual Project Manager

Emma is a New Zealander who has made great use of her knowledge of languages. Before coming to NZTC International, she worked as a Trade Development Officer at New Zealand's trade post in Milan - "this experience alerted me to the vital role that quality translation plays in New Zealand's future as a successful trading nation. It's great to be a part of this!" she asserts.

Emma considers that the main priority in her job is to exceed her clients' expectations, by providing them with quality work prior to, or by, the deadline. She maintains that "client servicing is also an integral part of my job, involving daily tactful communication and negotiation".

"Working with so many international people, gleaning titbits about the many languages we handle, and finding ways to utilise my Italian, Spanish and Japanese knowledge is infinitely interesting," says Emma about her job.

With a BA in Modern Languages, a Post Grad. Diploma of Arts, CELTA (English language teaching to adults) certificate, ATCL (piano performance), and the 'Superiore' certificate in Italian from Dante Alighieri School in Rome, Emma is completing a Master of Communications.

When she is not managing the complexities of her clients' deadlines, Emma is either playing the viola in the Wellington Chamber Orchestra or gardening in her rambling backyard at Titahi Bay.

Danith Ham
Multilingual Project Management Support

Danith is a New Zealander who was born in Cambodia. "My main priority is to help the Project Management team meet team objectives and project deadlines," he says about his role in the multilingual project management support team. "The most interesting part of my job is participating in a developing company and building good relationships with all our translators."

Danith has a BCA, majoring in Information Systems, and has also completed an Oracle SQL course. When he is not negotiating deadlines with the translators, manipulating computer files and managing his clients' translation needs, he enjoys listening to music and likes to keep fit. When he has the time, Danith gets involved in martial arts.

Chris Phillips
IT Manager

Chris is a European New Zealander who has had 20 years' experience working with computers and information technology. With his pragmatic, quiet, and unassuming approach, Chris not only manages the company's complex day-to-day IT requirements and issues, but is leading the review, design, planning and implementation of exciting new systems and technologies within the company. "I see my role as keeping our IT systems up to date and providing constant improvements to the business," he says.

Chris's dream is to build and fly his own aircraft. When he is not installing printer drivers, manipulating software strings or configuring new translation memory software, he is working towards gaining his private pilot's licence.
